- Scarborough traffic flow
The event has moved north due to lack of beach width south of the amphitheatre. There simply was not enough space to run the events and ensure emergency access.
Boat and Gear Parking
Boat and gear trailers parking is at the northern end of Scarborough (refer layout map). Vehicles and gear trailers accessing the lower grassed area will need a spotter walking in front of them to ensure pedestrian safety – speed limit is 5kph. A person should also be situated at the crossover point with the Dual Use Path ensuring that when vehicles are crossing this path, there are no cyclists coming down the hill! Hazard lights should be operated by vehicles when in this area.
Once the trailers have been placed on the grassed area all vehicles are to be removed and parked legally within the beachfront area. No vehicles are to remain attached to trailers. Any vehicles that are unattended on the grassed area will receive infringements from the City of Stirling.
There will be security on both Friday and Saturday night, however Scarborough is a busy precinct on those nights and any equipment left overnight is done so at the risk of the clubs and individuals.
This event will now be a straight final on Sunday morning. This event will be run in the youth arena to ensure close water sections are close to the boats.
Thank you to the few clubs that have advise us of team changes on the weekend. If you know of team changes from those entered could you please send through to me via email by no later than 12pm today. We will be printing all marshalling sheets this afternoon. Where possible I would like to minimise team sheet changes on the day.
