Competition Options

Surf sports include ocean, beach and pool events. Nippers and Seniors are encouraged to compete at Carnivals in the events that they are interested in and can even choose only beach events.

Secret Harbour SLSC competes against other WA clubs in a series of Surf Life Saving WA and club run events. Carnivals run from October through to the SunSmart WA Championship event series in February and March. All open water training and competition participants must wear a yellow hi-vis rash vest.

At carnivals, all nippers are required to wear their Woodside Nippers hi-vis vest in water events. Seniors must wear a Secret Harbour SLSC surf sports vest available from the club office. Members who participate in board events need their own board or can hire a board for the season from the club with a deposit and hire charge.

  • U9’s 100m ocean swim in less than 8mins

Competition proficiencies are carried out during the first few water training sessions or nipper sessions of the season.
