Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 2024

Our club hosts its next annual general meeting on Friday 26th of July at 6.30pm. Check this page for times, nomination documents, agenda, and minutes closer to the time. At each AGM a number of positions are available for nomination and voting, with two year terms for each role.

The terms for our Board of Management are:

  • President: 2-year term
  • Vice President: 2-year term
  • Director of Surf Sports: 2-year term
  • Director of Sponsorship: 2-year term
  • Director of Education & Training: 2-year term
  • Director of Youth: 2-year term
  • Director of Finance and Administration: 2-year term
  • Director of House and Social: 2-year term
  • Club Captain: 2-year term

Members can also nominate for committee positions as 2-year terms across all areas of lifesaving, education, surf sports, youth, sponsorship and house & social. Roles and committees will be available in the nomination form closer to the AGM date.

Member’s criteria for voting

Members are entitled to vote are outlined in Section 24.1 of the Club Constitution, as below:

  • Members eligible to vote at Annual General and Special General Meetings shall be restricted to individual full members who have met their Club Patrol and proficiency obligations, Office Bearers, Long Service Members and Life Members.
  • Each member entitled to vote shall have one vote at the General Meeting which shall be exercised by him or her personally. The Directors shall have the right to attend and debate, and vote, at General Meetings.
Requests for General Business

Members are entitled to submit notices of motion and requests for general business for inclusion as special business at a General Meeting. All notices of motion and requests for general business must be submitted in writing to the Club not less than twenty-eight (28) days prior to the General Meeting. Notices of motion are due by the 8th of July each year.
