The Building Upgrade Project commenced several years ago to consider the expansion of the club facilities into the future.  This project is being coordinated by the City of Rockingham & SHSLSC Building Upgrade Committee (BUC).

The BUC is working tirelessly behind the scenes on our behalf. Recent developments have seen the formation of the SHSLSC  Redevelopment Project Reference Group by the City of Rockingham, which includes members from the council, club, various organisations & businesses in the area including the Secret Harbour Residents Association & Surf Board Riders Club.

In 2012 the Board of Management approved the formation of the Building Upgrade Technical Committee being coordinated by Ron Wade.  Recently a call has gone out to all club members through the club newsletter for volunteers for the following sub-committees:

Administration / Merchandising

Junior / Cadet

Life Saving / Patrols / First Aid

External Areas / Beach Access track

Gear Storage

In-House / Social / Change Rooms / Special needs

Education / Training

Kiosk / Gynnasium / MPCUF (multi-purpose community use facility)
